Every year, UAntwerp organises PRESS>SPEAK, an annual writing and presenting competition. The second winning text, written by Jonas Lescroart (Faculty of Science), is about the mountain cat, an extremely rare and almost mystical cat species.
A feather in your cap: the feather is a prize passed on from one UAntwerp colleague to another in recognition of their efforts or achievements. This time, Miet Kuppens (Faculty of Social Sciences) passes the feather on to Vicky Verlinden (Institute of Development Policy).
After 28 days of collecting exercise minutes, the March 2022 edition of the Keep Moving Challenge is over. 382 participants gave the best of themselves to walk, cycle or hike a little bit extra every week.

When New Zealander Professor Regan Watts from the Faculty of Design Sciences moved to Antwerp five years ago, the support of his colleague Professor Koenraad Keignaert and his wife Katrien proved invaluable. ‘As a newcomer, you have a million questions and you want good answers to them’, Regan says while thinking back.

The first English-language bachelor programme at our university has started: the ‘Social-Economic Sciences’ (SES) study programme, a broad programme with an international focus, attracted some forty Flemish and international students. Of course, you will find everything you would expect at a library: books, quiet study spots, computers, places for group work, etc. But there is much more.
