On Thursday night, Prof. Alain Verschoren, honorary rector of the University of Antwerp, died unexpectedly.
This news affects us all. It is coming in hard and we will need time to cope with it. Alain’s impact on the University of Antwerp cannot be underestimated. From 2008 to 2016 he was the rector of our university. Under his policy, the number of students doubled.
