Checklists can be very useful in different situations. They may come in handy when packing for a trip, shopping for Christmas presents or organizing a birthday party. A checklist can also be useful in the context of international student mobility. It can help students keep track of their ‘to dos’ when planning, taking part in and returning from a stay abroad.
In the IMPALA working group on mobility, representatives of the four South African partner universities developed such a checklist for their respective institutions. All four checklists are currently in use at the universities. The checklist compiled by the University of Limpopo is presented here as an example of good practice.
