Dit fotoalbum start met een schoolfoto van de studenten van het jaar 1904-1905. Op de foto valt het op hoe jong de kinderen zijn, dit komt omdat je je toen al op 12-jarige leeftijd kon inschrijven voor het eerste jaar in de \u00c9cole Sup\u00e9rieure de Commerce.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het gebouw dat je op de achtergrond kan zien, is waar de jezu\u00efeten in 1852 hun handelsschool vestigden. Dit is in de Korte Nieuwstraat (naast de Sint-Carolus Borromeuskerk) en aangekocht dankzij enkele katholieke Antwerpse families. Wist je dat de naam Sint-Ignatius niet zomaar is gekozen? Sint-Ignatius van Loyola was de stichter van de orde van de jezu\u00efeten. Foto\u2019s van alle klassen apart en van de professoren. Oorspronkelijk waren de paters jezu\u00efeten de professoren aan de Sint-Ignatius Handelshogeschool. Traditioneel gezien gaf \u00e9\u00e9n pater per klasgroep alle vakken.
