Drie jaar later breidde de school het aanbod uit waarmee ook de naam veranderde naar \u00c9cole Sp\u00e9ciale de Commerce et d&#8217;Industrie. Na vier jaar middelbare school te hebben gevolgd, kon er doorgestroomd worden om twee jaar hoger onderwijs te volgen. Als u goed kijkt, kan u zien wie er zich inschreef voor het middelbare of hoger onderwijs. De studenten waarbij er klas 5 of 6 staat, schreven zich in aan het hoger onderwijs. De klassen 1 tot en met 4 behoorden tot het middelbare onderwijs. De school was gevestigd in de Korte Nieuwstraat 33, niet ver van de Sint-Carolus Borromeuskerk. In 1932 verhuisde de school naar het Hof van Liere, waar u zich nu bevindt. Als u goed kijkt naar de gegevens zijn er een aantal interessante aspecten uit af te leiden. Zo kon de leeftijd van studenten van eenzelfde klas sterk verschillen. Jongens van 14 jaar zaten samen met jongens van 10 jaar of zelfs 8 jaar oud in klas 6A. Bovendien schreven niet alleen Belgische studenten zich in aan het Sint-Ignatiusinstituut. Jongens uit heel Europa, uit o.a. Duitsland, Spanje, Tsjechi\u00eb en Itali\u00eb, kwamen in Antwerpen studeren. Wat ook interessant is aan dit register, is dat de beroepen van de ouders zijn genoteerd.
