Aan UAntwerpen doceert ze o.a. het vak <strong>consumentengedrag<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Nathalie: &#8220;Consumentengedrag is een heel breed begrip en heeft alles te maken met hoe consumenten met producten omgaan. Het gaat over koopgedrag, maar ook over hoe je producten gebruikt en hoe je er achteraf bijvoorbeeld afstand van neemt.&#8221;<\/p><p>Professor Nathalie Dens bestudeert <strong>nudging<\/strong> en hoe het bedrijfskundig ingezet kan worden.<\/p><p>Nathalie: &#8220;<span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">Nudging betekent\u00a0 letterlijk vertaald: iemand een duwtje geven, een kleine por. We moeten mensen zien als irrationele wezens. Op momenten dat ze een keuze maken, laten ze zich leiden door emoties. Als we dat begrijpen, kunnen we veranderingen aanbrengen in de omgeving. Bijvoorbeeld door aan de lift voetstappen te plaatsen die richting de trap gaan. Zo moedig je mensen aan tot een gezondere gewoonte.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><p>Daarnaast doet professor Nathalie Dens ook onderzoek naar elektronische word-of-mouth. Ze focust zich specifiek op <strong>online reviews<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Nathalie: &#8220;Online reviews hebben een duidelijk effect. Mensen consulteren vaak reviews alvorens ze iets kopen, voor alle soorten producten. Negatieve reviews hebben een veel grotere invloed dan positieve reviews. Als je recensies opzoekt, hoop je op positieve ervaringen. Staat er dan toch een negatieve review tussen,\u00a0 vormt dat een rood licht om het zeker niet te kopen. Als je positieve reviews verstopt tussen negatieve of omgekeerd, zullen mensen dat toch niet bekijken op een rationele manier en meer geleid worden door de eerste en laatste review die ze al gelezen
