Bijvoorbeeld om te zien welke producten ze in de markt moeten zetten, uit welke markten ze zich moeten terugtrekken of te evalueren hoe rendabel een bepaalde afdeling is.<\/p>\n<p>In tegenstelling tot jaarrekeningen en financial accounting hebben we het in de lessen over cost en management accounting amper over wetgeving. Elk rapport is op maat, om juiste en bruikbare informatie aan te leveren aan het management van de organisatie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Volgens Ann Jorissen is <strong>sustainability reporting<\/strong> momenteel een enorm belangrijk thema binnen het onderzoek rond accounting.<\/p>\n<p>Ann: \u201cInvesteerders willen vandaag de dag als ze aandelen kopen dat het bedrijf &#8216;sustainable&#8217; is. Maar hoe kan je dat weten? Je kan kijken naar het jaarverslag. Maar over wat er gerapporteerd moet worden over maatschappelijk verantwoord gedrag bestaan nog geen offici\u00eble&nbsp; standaarden. Dus rapporteren bedrijven momenteel nog vaak op een manier die hen goed uitkomt. Bovendien is er ook geen controle op deze rapportage. Een equivalent voor de financi\u00eble audit is er bij de sustainability informatie nog niet. De vraag naar een beter zicht op sustainable behaviour groeit enorm.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ann Jorissen is ook co-auteur van het <strong>boek<\/strong> &#8216;International Financial Reporting and Analysis&#8217;. Door de grote populariteit hiervan scoorde de UAntwerpen een mooie plaats in de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/update\/urn:li:activity:6807307984671170560\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Teaching Power Ranking van de Financial Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ann: &#8220;Ik wist wel dat het boek het grootste marktaandeel had in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Scandinavi\u00eb, maar toch was ik ook verbaasd. Dat het daarbuiten zo veel gebruikt werd, had de uitgeverij nooit gerapporteerd. In die zin was het nieuws over die ranking wel leuke informatie. In de nieuwe editie gaan we trouwens een volledig hoofstuk wijden aan sustainability reporting.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; font-weight: bold;\">Beluister de
